- Lea Michele: I've had so many scary/embarrassing things happen to me from working on Broadway. From people being wildly drunk like in the audience, and we also had seats on the stage. I was in a show called Spring Awakening, and there was this one scene where my character is deciding whether or not she should have an abortion, and I'm fourteen years old, and it's Germany, and everything bad is happening, and this one woman in the audience she goes "GO FOR IIIIIT"

INTERVIEWER: Leslie, obviously, has some odd choices about what she thinks is sexy and romantic, where does that come from?
MICHAEL SCHUR: Well, I think that, and I mean this in the best possible way, I think that Leslie is a little bit of a nerd. And, I think that’s part of what’s endearing to Ben about her, and I think Ben is a little bit of a nerd which is maybe what’s endearing to Leslie about him. She’s a very self-possessed, intelligent woman who is really good at her job and is very vibrant and vivacious, and I don’t think she particularly cares that much about being cool. She wants to dress for what she imagines her job to be in the future.
